Guava is a delicious and health benifitial fruit. 
Everyone likes to eat Guava due to its amazing taste. Some common names of guavas are Amrud, jam fal, Peroo, jama pandu etc. Unripe guava is green in colour and ripe guavas have yellowish or red colour. Gavas generally cultivated in September month. From inside it has two types of colour white and red. Both have different flavour. Gauva plant grows in monsoon season because it requires more water for better fruit growth. In season time gauva easily available in market. But these days hybrid plants gives yield through out the year.

From inside it contains lot of hard seeds along with pulp. Gauva eats along with the seeds. It can be eat directly or making juice, salad, jelly, ice-cream etc. Some peoples eats it  with paste of salt, pipper and black pipper for making its taste more delicious. Old peoples those have not teeth or patients can take its juice. Adding guava in diet keeps us stay healthy. 

Gauva found genrally in all over the world. But gauva s main origin place consider to be middle America. Gauva is very popular in India and all other Asian countries. Gauva doesn't require much chemical treatment, it has better shelf life. 

Gauva have rich  nutrition value. It contains sodium, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, fibers, carbohydrates, sugar and iron nutrients. It is a good source of energy. Gauva also contains lycopene antioxidants in much quantity. Guava leaves are used for making many Ayurvedic medicines. 



Uses of Gauva- :

Gauva is very useful for our body. Following are its health benefits ¬

° Some researchs revealed that gauva helps in preventing Cancer deases. 

° It helps in improving our immune system because it contains vitamins C in more quantities. 

° Eating guava regularly maintains the diabetes. 

° Guava reduces the cholesterol level and maintain the blood pressure of the body. 

° It contains vitamin A in large quantities so helps in increasing eyesight. 

° It regulates the metabolism in our body. 

°It helps in curing stomach related problems and save us from diarrhoea deases. 

° It also contains fibers that prevent the constipation. 

°Roasted guava cure us from cold and cough deases. 

° Guava makes us mentally and physically fit. 

° Many skin care products are made from guava pulp. It glows our skin. 

° Gauva also helps in reducing weight. 

° Gauva helps maintaining blood sugar level. 

° The juice of guava leaves cures teeth from bacterial infections. 


Avoid-:

° Shore of throat may occur in immediately drinking of water. 

° Ripe guavas should not be recommended for cough and cold patients. 


° Before eating it should be wash properly and after cutting should check for small worm, that can create heath related problems. 






PLANTATIONS AND CULTIVATION - :

Guava is comman fruit. It's Plantations can be done through out the year. It is cultivated in India in large scale. Harvesting time is depend upon type of variety is sown. Plant takes around 5 years to give fruits. Gauva plant gives yield every year. It can be grown easily. 

Soil preparation is to be done before Plantation. Prepare the land in such a way that water drained well and dig deeply. Remove all types of waste from the land. Compost fertiliser must add for good yield. Mix compost along with surface soil of land. There are many hybrid varieties of gauva seeds available in market. It's seeds are taken from healthy and large size fruits.

 Gauva can grow in pots, waste land or near to home. But take care to water drain well from soil to acess its roots to spred. Standing water can spoil its roots. Soil ph value from 4 to 7 is good for its yield.



Fertilisers must use for its good growth. Irrigation should be done in once a week or as required. Guava can be grown upto 1600m height from sea levels. Low temperature suitable for its growth. 

High temperature is not suitable for gauva growth, its decrease the yield. It can be grown in dry areas with less rainfall. 

After plant grows to some inches it requires proper cutting, grafting and soil covering. Spacing  of 6m for plant to plant should be maintained. Nitrogen, phosphorus fertiliser can be given for good growth.

Some deases are-:

Some types of deases catches the fruit and spoil there growth. Pesticides spray must use to save the yield. Comman deases found are wilt, Bugs and flies.
